Activities & lifestyle
A day that feels like yours.
There are many things to do on a daily basis, our activities co-ordinator plans activities and exercise based on our resident's personal needs, to help stimulate them physically and mentally, to help them enjoy life to the full. We place great emphasis in keeping our residents active in both body and mind.
Ask us about life here
At your own pace
The choice to join in. The choice to slow down.
Activities and exercise can be shaped around each resident’s personal needs, with an emphasis on keeping both body and mind active. Joining in should sit alongside a person’s own routines and preferences.
Your familiar rhythm
Familiar routines and preferences can help shape support that encourages independence. The small choices in each day matter too.
Company when it is welcome
Continued social contact matters alongside meaningful activities. A chat over a meal or time with family can be just as important as a group activity.
Space for quieter moments
A little time outdoors, a quiet read or a peaceful moment can be as valuable as a busy day.
Things worth making time for
An interest is part of a person’s story.
There are many ways to enjoy the day. Activities can be shaped around residents’ personal needs and interests, rather than expecting everyone to enjoy the same thing.
Music & movement
Ask about music, movement and musical entertainment as ways to spend time together.
Making & games
Arts and crafts, bingo and games can be ways to connect and enjoy a shared activity.
Gathering & fresh air
Ask about entertainment, religious services and opportunities for fresh air, exercise or a quiet read.

People make a place
The people you love remain part of your day.
Time with relatives and friends can mean a great deal. Visits can be a chance to share familiar moments and stay connected, in line with the resident’s preferences.
Please check current visiting and guest-meal arrangements with the home before you travel.
Talk to us about a visitThe details you know by heart.
There is no questionnaire to get right. When you speak with us, it can help to share things like:
- The routines that feel reassuring
- Favourite foods, music and ways to pass the time
- Whether they enjoy company, quiet, or a bit of both
- The people and memories they hold close
Preferences can change, too. The conversation should keep going.
Come with your questions
“What would a good day look like for them?”
It is a good question to start with. Tell us about the person you know, and ask what is possible at the home right now.
